On Good Friday, our FaithKids put together a special presentation on Zoom where we remembered Jesus who died for our sins and paid the hefty price He didn’t deserve on our behalf. God loves us…so much that He sacrificed His Son for us in the most painful way, in order that we can be reconciled to Him through faith, by His grace. We celebrated His rising from the grave and the fact that all who believe can be raised and have new life with Him.
On Easter Sunday, we had a drive-in service where we stuck Jesus stickers on every car that came in. See, after Jesus’ resurrection, He made several appearances to many people. Our challenge to FaithKids was to have them look around and take pictures of as many Jesus sightings they could find. Each time someone sent a Jesus picture into our WhatsApp group, we would have to raise our hands in the car and shout, “He has risen!” Although we couldn’t hear each other because everyone was in their cars, the evidences of Christ being risen from the dead was displayed everywhere through the smiles on the children’s faces, their excited arms raised in the air, and the pictures that we got to share as we followed Jesus’ commands in going to tell others about the Good News of Christ.
Can you find Jesus in the pictures below?
He has risen indeed!!
Jesus commands us in Matthew 28:19-20 to “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”
When we believe in Jesus, we will be marked by Christ, we will bear His image, and others will see glimpses of Him through the way we speak, act, and love others. As we drove off with our stickers on our cars, we were reminded that faith is believing in something that we cannot see, but God is real…and so is our faith in Him! People will see Jesus in our hearts just like they would on our cars–if we really believe and reflect Him in the way we live. Then others may be even tempted to ask, “Hey, I think I see Jesus on that person’s car. Why does that person have a Jesus sticker there?” And friends, that is our opportunity to say, “Yes, it is Jesus! Let me tell you about the Good News of Christ. Jesus died for our sins, but now He is alive! Repent of your sins and believe so that you can be saved and have new life with Him forever!”
