Paul told people about Jesus wherever he went. We watched as Paul went from place to place, churches were being built, churches were growing, and more people believed in the Good News. Paul knew that it was important to keep on pressing on to share the gospel even when he was facing difficult situations. Paul never stopped sharing because he loved Jesus and had faith.
This week, our FaithKids Seniors wrote letters to our missionaries to encourage them and support them in doing the work that God called them to do. Just as Paul wrote letters all the time to encourage his friends, we learned that some of our missionaries were going through hard times as well. Our key passage this month comes from 1 Timothy 6:12: “Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called.” As Christians, we aren’t promised an easy life…rather, our reward is an eternal life with God in heaven. Our mission on this earth is to continually share the gospel with those around us, so that we can make disciples of all nations…as we do this, we may go through hard times. But during those times, let us not give up. Let us keep on keeping on to fight the good faith fight!
The FaithKids Juniors played a word drawing came where they wrote words like “dog,” “cat,” “girl,” and “boy.” They then followed step-by-step instructions to bring the words to life! Look closely at the drawings and see if you can spot the original written words in the pictures. The Word of God is not made up of just a bunch of words. The Word of God is alive and active, giving life to all who believe and receive it. Paul believed God’s Word and the Spirit empowered Paul to keep using God’s Word to bring hope to the people.
