It has been a very long 16 months, to say the least. And it is okay, in fact, healthy for individuals, families, and faith family, to acknowledge and say out loud that this pandemic has not been easy.
So, faith leaders have asked a good friend of our church, a gifted and experienced registered psychotherapist, Janet Kim, to guide us through a time of mental health check up.
Think of this as similar to a physical check up. The goal is to take a look at our mental health and see how we are doing.
The result might be good health, and all we need to do is make some small adjustments to keep our good health.
However, it is very possible that the result is bad health, and thus, much more reflection and greater change is needed for good health.
Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul. (3 John 1:2 ESV)
Please know that God cares about our good mental health (as well as, good physical health) because it is included in our good spiritual health. So, let us echo the Apostle John’s prayer for good health, as it goes well with our soul.
